I know this may already be implemented in many of our dogs daily lives but I get asked all the time, what is the point of having a dog "wait"? For me personally, if there's one thing I'm super consistent about every day it's basic impulse control. I always make sure my dog "waits" before getting something they want. It something you can easily practice on a daily basis. This not only teaches them good manners but also helps them understand they can't act on every impulse or feeling they have....
